Singer and actress Hyeri became emotional and shed tears during a heartfelt reunion with her Girl's Day members, marking the group’s 15th debut anniversary.
On June 27, a video titled 'First Fan Meeting in 15 Years! Hyetto-tearful' was uploaded on Hyeri’s YouTube channel. Toward the end of the video, a special teaser showed all four members, Sojin, Yura, Minah, and Hyeri, reuniting for a talk segment in celebration of Girl’s Day’s 15th year.
“People kept asking why they haven’t seen these ladies yet,” Hyeri said as she introduced the group. “It’s the 15th anniversary of Girl’s Day.”
Yura shared that she deeply missed their days as a group, saying, “I really miss our days as Girl’s Day.” Minah also expressed her feelings, saying, “I always wished we could perform more.”
When asked about their most memorable performances, Sojin said the 'MAMA' stage stood out the most and that she still goes back to watch it sometimes.
Yura added with a laugh that fans often talk about their “capitalism legs” performance, which comes up so frequently that it has become a running joke.
Hyeri recalled their performance in Sokcho, saying it was unforgettable and made her laugh every time. Yura chimed in, asking if that was the one where their makeup washed off from the rain, referring to the time they performed soaking wet.
The members then reminisced about their group dynamics. Sojin mentioned that she often feels Minah has the vibe of the third sister, even though she is older than Hyeri. Hyeri agreed and said Minah has a soft-hearted nature. Minah responded playfully, telling Hyeri, “I always thought of you as my older sister.”
Yura teased that Hyeri, the youngest member, used to scold the others whenever they met. Hyeri laughed and recalled a moment when Minah told her to stop and scolded her in return. Minah added that she cried back then and reminded Hyeri that she was also her older sister. Hyeri remembered responding calmly, saying, “Yes, I know,” which made everyone burst into laughter.
As the conversation turned more emotional, Hyeri acknowledged the fans who had been waiting for all four members to reunite. She suggested they each say a few words to their supporters. Yura joked that Minah might cry just from hearing that.
Hyeri began to speak but quickly became emotional and said, “When I think of the members…” before tearing up. Sojin said she would cry too if she saw Hyeri crying, and Minah was also seen struggling to hold back her tears. In the end, both Hyeri and Sojin were shown crying, creating a touching moment filled with gratitude and nostalgia.
The full conversation featuring the emotional and joyful reunion of the Girl’s Day members will be released on July 4.
