When eating with Jaekyung and Yoonhye, Jisook asked, "Who do you think will marry first out of us?" and Jaekyung chose Hyunyoung, who is currently in a relationship with Alex!

The members hid their faces as they burst into laughter, and Jaekyung continued, "After that, there'll be a long period [of no one marrying], and then Jisook."

Rainbow has three members? what is happening with this group?

highdeekamiliak CDOCOOLS Friday, June 3, 2016

This is not the whole group... this was a casual meal amongst some of the members... Do all groups that live off dorms even eat together? There are 7 members in Rainbow. And 3 of them happen to be having a meal together. Rainbow members are often spotted eating amongst the members

CDOCOOLS highdeekamiliak Friday, June 3, 2016

Thanks for the info... just curious because their are always member changes in group nowadays

Joha_B2uty CDOCOOLS Friday, June 3, 2016

They have always been 7, since 2009 and also they have never changed members =)

krell highdeekamiliak Friday, June 3, 2016

I *WISH* that RAINBOW could win ONE FIRST PLACE in those weekly award K-pop Shows (Music Bank, etc).

CDOCOOLS Joha_B2uty Friday, June 3, 2016

Good for them.. now don't go jinxing them

Winston krell Friday, June 3, 2016

@krell for that to happen, DSP need to stop giving them lousy songs, and maybe work with people like Brave Brothers, Shinsadong tiger to have a decent comeback song. However THAT alone wont get them a first place, just enough to get them to Top 5, to be first place, they need something to make the news and media talk about them so much, like a fancam miracle like EXID or GFriend's falling in the rain, thing. its really sad they are so long in the industry and yet not doing so well. each album they do, could be their last one.

highdeekamiliak Winston Saturday, June 4, 2016

i love their songs. Personally I thought Whoo was an awesome title song and loved every song on their album. Not everyone likes that overly done EDM. Otherwise every group needs to sound the same for it to be good? Different tastes lol. But yeah, being famous from a miracle is luck, doesnt mean they are better. Just a reality of the entertainment industry (^_^)

Winston highdeekamiliak Saturday, June 4, 2016

it partly also need to know whats trending or whats popular, like JYP said on Radio Star, he did the song, Still Alive, thinking it will do well, but it got attention for a while then died down, because no one wants to hear him boasting how good he is and saying how he is better than their oppas and winning #1. I guess people got turned off by all that boasting in the song, and stopped listening to it. For Rainbow to win #1, they need more than their existing fan club members to like and buy their songs, since their fandom is small. They need to win over NEW fans, DSP tried to sexy concepts for Rainbow Black but it was not that popular and they went back to other concepts in Whoo. DSP now has April and Rainbow, they need to show people what is the distinct difference between the two girl groups, like how SNSD and fx are very very different groups in terms of songs. else Both April and Rainbow will not be able to break through. Rainbow debut in 2009, together with 2NE1, and since 2NE1's contract is also ending soon, I wonder how many more months is Rainbow's contract with DSP ending. I have a feeling DSP may not renew all the members or vice versa, some of the members may not renew with DSP also. DSP dun seem to have a good record of artiste renewing with them after contract ending, a lot of their artistes seems to choose to leave instead of renewing.

krell Winston Saturday, June 4, 2016

Yes, with RAINBOW, you have to WONDER how much longer that member JAEKYUNG wants to keep going with the K-pop Idol game. JAEKYUNG will be AGE 28, later this year. You HAVE to be wondering IF JAEKYUNG is looking to transition to an ACTING ROLES career in the near future. JAEKYUNG surely has the VISUAL for that. And keep in mind that GOO HARA *quit* a MORE SUCCESSFUL *KARA* Group. Because GOO HARA wanted to transition into ACTING ROLES. And GOO HARA is 3 years YOUNGER in AGE than JAEKYUNG.

highdeekamiliak Winston Sunday, June 5, 2016

Actually... I dont know if you can say DSP doesnt have a good record of artists renew with them. The difference, if you followed contract details is that DSP has much shorter length contract than other companies. They dont so slave contracts. I agree that it would take more than just Rainnous for Rainbow to become more popular. If only every person stopped spending their time dissing DSP and spreading negative rumors about Rainbow disbanding sing Black Swan promotions, then may be, it would be easier to have a full support comeback. Not saying its you. Go and read how SUPPOSED fans post on their videos. If fans were REAL fans, they would spend all that energy promoting and spreading the happiness of seeing their comeback and actively support for Music Show support. What the people complaining forget, is that winning an award is completely up to the fans, not the company. Who buys records, votes, and push nominations? Fans. Rainnous spend more time defending Rainbow... that shouldnt even happen in the first place. As for Rainbow and APRIL differences, it is really obvious that their songs are different. Rainbow has a playful, fun and sexy vibe to their songs and images. Always energetic, and a slick of cuteness but also have girl-next-door, relaxed and laid-back personalities that people enjoy. They dont act like the typical idols. APRIL is young and known as Pure-Idols. Fairy Tale Concepts and focus on their young vibrant energy is often shown with lots of cutesy charms. The girls are a cuteness overload everytime you see them, and their personalities are dorky and sincere. Their songs are known as healing songs. Kind of like after watching a Disney movie. Their images, concepts and songs are very different... The only similiarity amongst the two groups, is that both have a very natural charm to them and no excessive use of EDM.

highdeekamiliak Winston Sunday, June 5, 2016

Oh and btw lol, All of JYP's songs are about how he looks good hahaha look back his songs about 10-15 years back lol, thats what he is known for (>_<) And of course, there is also the power battle between the management companies. Bigger doesnt always mean better, but reality of the industry is, bigger will guarantee you more exposure everytime. Doesnt mean that smaller companies have bad management, it means that they dont have access to the same tools.

krell highdeekamiliak Sunday, June 5, 2016

Two *good* message posts by you here (above). Yes, DSP Agency is *not* nearly the 'power player' that say CJ E&M Agency (CJ Group) is. And success stories like EXID, with a *smaller* AGENCY are likely to be LESS and LESS in the future. The 'BIG SHARK' K-pop Agencies (SMe ; YGe ; JYPe ; FMCe) are getting like *40% of REVENUE* from PRChina now. Pretty difficult 'sledding' for some 'start up' smaller K-pop Agency to compete on that GLOBAL BASIS right off. They *smaller* Agencies need to have almost an ACT OF GOD (EXID = The HANI FanCam by Pharkil) to have a Group move into the TOP LEVELS of K-pop Groups. NOT IMPOSSIBLE; but definitely a situation of SWIMMING UPSTREAM, as I see it.

krell Sunday, June 5, 2016

*FNCe Agency ... (not FMCe ... typo fix)

Winston krell Sunday, June 5, 2016

DSP USED to be a Power player back than in terms of Sech Kies and FinKL. They were almost on par with SM's HOT and SES back then. Before JYP and YG even had something to compete.

Winston highdeekamiliak Sunday, June 5, 2016

you said DSP has shorter contract lengths and no slave contract, but the reason Sech Kies disbanded with them is that they were tired of all the packed schedules, and lack of sleep just as how idols of today are facing, they were rushing from one place to another, getting off the van, to film a drama scene without even knowing what the drama is about, after they filmed their part, they are whisked off to another activity. Sech Kies decided to call it quits because of it. DSP used to have Sech Kies and FinKL, but even FinKL members did not want to renew with them after leaving. The loss of these 2 powerhouse boy and girl group, causes DSP to be regardless as a "small agency" else they would be like the JYP or YG of today.

krell Winston Sunday, June 5, 2016

Yes, also KARA had there 'semi-revolt' over their scheduling situation with DSP Agency. I still regard DSP Agency has a *solid* 'tier 2' level K-pop Agency. DSP has decent skill in selling to JAPAN; less so with PRChina. But DSP does have decent ASIA wide experience, as I see it. But yes, they are NOT a 'Big Player' at this point.

JYJRainbow highdeekamiliak Sunday, June 5, 2016

you should try their song bad man crying

Winston krell Monday, June 6, 2016

Grade A+ (SM, YG, JYP), Grade A- (Starship, Pledis, Cube, FNC etc) , companies with at least 1 major idol group making big money, DSP is like a Grade B for me, as their main cash cow, KARA went disband, their current groups have no where the same level of money generating powers as SISTAR of Starship, AOA of FNC, EXID of Banana Culture, Girls Day of DreamTea, IOI of YMC, Apink of Plan A, Seventeen of Pledis, etc, which are also smaller agencys with at least 1 or 2 power groups.

Winston krell Monday, June 6, 2016

Honestly I think DSP should try to be like MBK's tara and risk a bit to enter China market. China market acceptance of Kpop and Kdrama has not yet hit saturation point yet, as compared to japan. and with recent artists like Hwang Chiyel and artists like Bada and Ali, making it big there due to Immortal Song, and Cosmic Girls also due to the China members. If DSP can include 1 or 2 china member in April or a new girl group and push for a China/Korea debut, it may do them well. Like Tara whom is no longer winning #1 in music shows over in Korea, but in China their popularity according to polls is #1 currently, due to their prolonged promotions in China.

krell Winston Monday, June 6, 2016

I agree with you that DSP Agency has made some mistakes lately. The *big* mistake being that DSP seems to have ZERO 'high profile* MALE K-pop Group(s) to offer. And FANGIRLS are what DRIVE the K-pop Industry mostly, as I see it. And yes, DSP *should* consider to target PRChina better. Which, mostly, DSP seems to be JAPAN oriented. NOT sure if DSP Agency has an 'Alliance Agency' relationship based in PRChina or not. I *know* that a LOT of the 'Bigger Player' K-pop Agencies in the PRChina market already have that set up.

Winston krell Monday, June 6, 2016

DSP has a bad track record handling boy group after the Sech Kies era, and the departure of SS501, Debut of A'st1 in 2008 , only to disband in 2009, still remember only 1 clip from A'st1 who "barge into SNSD's waiting room due to a mission from a reality show" and ask the SNSD "sunbaes" then for advice, SNSD only told them they are hardly any senior than them since SNSD debut in 2007, while A'st1 debut in 2008, but alas, A'st1 disbanded in 2009, and there has not been a boy group in DSP since then until A-JAX in 2012, which has not even made its name known to a lot of people. DSP should look at what Pledis did with Seventeen, and all the popular boy groups of late like BAP, B1A4, BTOB, BTS, Block B, BTOB, what else start with 'B'? if i was DSP, I would hold a concert to find a Song Joong Ki look-alike contest, for males of about 15 to 20, find a handsome guy looking like SJK or Park Bo Gum, dun care if he is good in dancing or singing, add him as a member of an idol group, give him maybe 10seconds line if he cant sing well and thats fine, if he cant dance, than make the group's dance simple. all he has to do is smile, move around, wave and smile, throw some hearts at fans, and sing 10 second of solo, and End of Song. he will be the center of the group, and debut the group in China, calling him the "little Song Joong Ki" and catch on the SJK craze, for some CF and such. lol. Strike the iron while its hot. lol

krell Winston Monday, June 6, 2016

Yes, what you said it, about VISUAL being *very* IMPORTANT for MALE K-pop Idols, is surely TRUE. I read a REDDIT website topic, hosted by a USA MALE who had been a TWO YEAR TRAINEE for SMe Agency. At the end of his contract, he decided NOT to renew with SMe Agency. Because he said that SMe Agency was NOT likely to DEBUT any MALE Groups in the near future. So, he went on to say that VISUAL is VERY IMPORTANT. You need to *look* pretty good, and it helps if you can *either* Dance or Sing some. He said that whatever your *best* skill is, the K-pop Agency tries to MAXIMIZE that *particular* skill. Rather than try to create a 'well rounded' performer (both sing and dance). He said IF you look good enough, and get your particular skill up to a certain level, THAT is what the K-pop Agency wants it. But the *first* screening factor is a VISUAL one. There are surely some exceptions to this. But NOT very many.

krell Winston Monday, June 6, 2016

What I am saying, is that there is LESS room now for PSY physical appearance type performers. It is a LOT more about the *VISUAL* 'skill' of TOP (Big Bang).

highdeekamiliak Winston Thursday, June 16, 2016

I think you need to go back and read the news as it actually happened. Sech Skies didnt call it quits. DSP disbanded them. Sech Skies fans even tried to burn the CEO's car and accidentally burned someone elses car. Read the Korean news, it was a big scandal back in the day. Yes they dont have the same power now that they had then... but doesnt take away from the fact that they make great music. After all, I am a fan of their artists. Its about the music, not their power game. At least not for many of us that listen to music for what it is, and not for who ran the contracts. My point is that people are concentrating on the wrong things. The main focus should be on the music...

krell highdeekamiliak Thursday, June 16, 2016

So, K-pop fans got 'burned' by burning the wrong car? Just when I thought that I had heard ALL of the 'stranger than truth' K-pop stories!

Winston highdeekamiliak Thursday, June 16, 2016

I am reading WHAT i hear from Sech Kie's Leader's mouth, and not old news reports. He mentioned his reason for wanting to disband, if it was DSP who disband them, it would be DSP announcing the news and not Sech Kies Calling for a press conference to announce it in person. I dun know the behind the story of what goes on, as it happened too far back in history, but i can only her the story from the horse's mouth so to speak, and that is what Eun Ji Won said, that he decided to disband because they didnt like how they were treated and the schedules. and that even though 1 or 2 members didnt agree with it, he was going to go ahead with it, because the press conference has already been called. I can understand why you are defending them BECAUSE you said you are a FAN of their artiste. I am no fan nor hater, I just look at statistics, base on the number of artiste they currently have Versue the number who left and how many of those who left renewed their first contract. Thats what i base my statement on, not for some blind love of the agency or their artistes. You love their music? Good for you and them, I guess, but I can only say there need to be many more of you, in order for their artistes to stay in business. cos their songs are clearly not selling as well as they spent money making them.

Winston krell Thursday, June 16, 2016

I am not hating on handsome or pretty boys of idol boy groups and saying they are pretty and no talent. There are cases where there are INDEED, handsome AND Talented singers and even Song Writers also. BUT THOSE ARE VERY VERY RARE. You probably NEED TO audition 10,000 or 100,000 of people WORLDWIDE to find ONE, who has the Looks, sing well and yet can compose his own songs and even dance well. Compare 2 young men, in his early 20s, one is a medicore singer/dancer but looks really handsome, the other is a talented song writer and sings well but looks like average looking, like say Yoon Sang, Lee Juck, Jo Jung Chi for example. I think the latter singer will last a LONGER years in career, while the first one will Raise to the Top very quickly but also fade off very quickly. Some people just want that 5 to 7 years of Prime time as a boy group member, than leave the group after the first contract. while the 2nd person is likely to be doing music for 20 or 30 years but not winning much #1 or appearing in friend chicken CF for example.

krell Winston Thursday, June 16, 2016

From the AGENCY viewpoint, they figure hopefully a 5 YEAR SPAN for some 'Pretty Boy' Group that they put it together. NO NEED for them to be SONG WRITERS really. And at the end of the 5 Years, the AGENCY 'moves on' to the NEXT YOUNGER set of 'Pretty Boys' for their K-pop Group that replaces the now 'NOT quite as young and pretty as they once were / old boys' Group! ... ;-)

Winston krell Thursday, June 16, 2016

I was watching the Radio star episode, Kim Gura was making fun of Kyuhyun saying how can a 30 year old guy still be embarrassed to talk about his dating experience, his first kiss and love life experiences, while Shannon (Korean/UK) was okay talking about it and even his son, MC Gree is fine talking about his girl friend at his age of 19. The fact is that SM still treats their 30 year old groups like Super Junior and DBSK, like some teenage idol group who cant openly talk about who they like or date, because of their fans. Even for Shinee, they are over 25 already, they should be openly saying they are seeing someone or intending to get married. but they are acting like such news will cause the sky to fall down, and such. Super Junior is no teenager or young adults like they were back in 2005/6, they should be dads or something by now. In 5 more years, Super Junior would be like what Sech Kies is today, having fans who hold babies in their arms or backs waving light sticks at them.

krell Winston Thursday, June 16, 2016

(Joking) What? You mean SUPER *SENIOR* Group? ... ;-)

MufffleCake Friday, June 3, 2016

So, they are a known girl group and also a senior,But are they famous like SNSD?

CDOCOOLS MufffleCake Friday, June 3, 2016

obviously no! duh!

pink_oracle MufffleCake Friday, June 3, 2016

Their company didn't have the same marketing budget SM did.

highdeekamiliak MufffleCake Friday, June 3, 2016

How many girl groups out there? Are they all like SNSD? Making them a senior doesnt mean they have to be the most known for people to love them. I love Rainbow just the way they are. Non-fake, and very comfortably working in the Hallyu industry and Rainnous dont feel like they need to talk other fandoms down to feel better. I have nothing wrong with SNSD, but your attack on Rainbow is totally uncalled for.

Yeah, if people really focused on Rainbow they would have a lot more support. I am Kamilia, but also Rainnous, and FineApple. The Rainbow girls are perfect the way they are. Not snobby, down to earth and talk to fans like friends, fame never got to their head, and I appreciate their hard work and effort in everything. Hope you will continue support them (^_^) The Whoo comeback was awesome, I heard there may be a summer comeback. But unsure hahahaha it would be awesome though
