On the June 13 airing of JTBC's 'Abnormal Summit', a whopping 9 of the cast members bid farewell to the show, with the show gearing up for a revamp soon.

Among the G9 who said goodbye were original cast members Tyler Rasch (U.S.A) and Zhang Yuan (China), as well as Sam Okyere (Ghana), Samy Rashad (Egypt), Daniel Lendemann (Germany), Pzemyslaw Krompiec (Poland), Nikolai Johnsen (Norway), Andreas Varsakopoulos (Greece), and Carlos Gorito (Brazil).

MCs Jun Hyun Moo, Sung Si Kyung, and Yoo Se Yoon, as well as original cast members Guillaume Patry (Canada) and Alberto Mondi (Italy) will remain for the show's upcoming revamp.

We'll miss you all, G9!

Tbh I didn't the new cast members (new ones that started last year) to be interesting, except for Andreas and Samy. It's a good choice to keep Alberto and Guillaume but I think Andreas should also stay. He's funny and expressive, and good looking lol But I'm excited for the new cast!

SAM IS LEAVING?!?! Sad Day :(

hiroonakamura Tuesday, June 14, 2016

why the change?

hana_sakura Tuesday, June 14, 2016

Omg Zhang Yuan, Tyler, and Daniel?! I really like their views because you get a mix of conservative and liberal views at the same time, so it's nice to see a different perspective. So sad to see them leave... :( Wish G9 all the best though...

Oh, and Sam too, actually...

Abnormal Summit used to be one of my favorite shows. I would binge-watch episodes cuz they were so good and funny. But as they started changing up the cast, it wasn't as fun and interesting as before and the cast members just didn't have the same chemistry. I remember the original members would always be at each other's throat, talking over each other and dissing each other left and right. Not only was it hilarious, but I also got to learn about different countries and their perspectives on certain topics. It was also around that time when Abnormal Summit became really popular and even got an award for being one of the top shows. Their viewer ratings were off the charts. But as they lost members and changed members, it. just. got. kinda. boring. It's still a little bit interesting and I enjoy when they talk about the norms in their countries, the news from that country or get into arguments and try to prove each other wrong (cuz I'm still learning that way), but it just doesn't feel the same. For the old cast, I could watch episode after episode and not get bored. But the newer episodes, I only watch half of it and go watch something else b/c it's not keeping me engaged or interested. But I mean all good shows go down the toilet one day. And it's already happened to Abnormal Summit.
