On a recent airing of SBS' 'One Night of TV Entertainment', MC Kim Tae Hoon talked about Korea's #1 go-to song for spring, Busker Busker's "Cherry Blossom Ending"!
The MC revealed the surprising amount of money the group made from their one song alone in the past 5 years, saying, "Jang Bum Joon [of Busker Busker] told me he's made about 4,600,000,000 KR? (approximately $3,800,000)."
According to the MC, the reason that Jang Bum Joon wrote "Cherry Blossom Ending" was, "When spring comes around, tons of couples go out to enjoy a date under cherry blossoms, but because he was always single, he wrote the song wishing the cherry blossoms would die soon. It's ironic that every year when spring comes around and the cherry blossoms bloom, people turn on this song."
Well, spring is just around the corner, which means it's time to turn up Busker Busker's "Cherry Blossom Ending"!
