G-Friend's Yerin opened up and got personal on the February 29 episode of SBS's variety show, 'Same Bed Different Dreams,' when a mother relayed her concerns about her teenage son.
Yerin said on the show, "When I first said I wanted to be a singer, my mother told me, 'Where'd that come from? Just go to your room and study.' �I was so hurt by that that I didn't bring up my dream to be a singer again for a few years in case I would get in trouble. I lied, saying I wanted to be a nurse. �If your parents don't believe in you, the scar is really big, so I understand [the teenager]. �I really couldn't dance. �I was extremely bad at dancing. To the point I was criticized."
Yoo Jae Suk threw in, "You dance really well now," and Kim Gu Ra added consolation with, "I thought she was Michael Jackson." �Yerin, who was growing teary-eyed, couldn't help but smile at this, saying she's about to cry. �Yuju explained that it was all thanks to her hard work to the surprise of everybody there. �
An emotional Yerin concluded, telling the mother, "I wish you would trust [your son] and support him." The mother grew teary eyed, too, at listening to her heartfelt words.
