Girls' Generation's YoonA has been confirmed for one of the lead roles in the upcoming Chinese historical drama, 'God of War Zhao Yun,' where she will be acting alongside top Chinese actor, Lin Gengxin. This will be YoonA's first Chinese drama appearance and her first drama participation in nearly two years since 'Prime Minister and I'.�

'God of War Zhao Yun' is a historical drama based on the legendary story of Zhao Yun, dealing with war and romance. YoonA will be playing the role of a beautiful girl who falls in love with Zhao Yun (Lin Gengxin). However, there's a plot twist when YoonA's character discovers that Zhao Yun killed her father.
YoonA has garnered a lot of attention for her roles in Korean dramas such as 'The Prime Minister and I,' and 'Love Rain,' and received Best Acting Award and Rookie Actress Award, respectively.�
Meanwhile, YoonA will be going to China next month as the filming for 'God of War Zhao Yun' is set to begin in January 2015. 'God of War �Zhao Yun' will begin airing on Hunan TV in August.
