NCT DREAM has kicked off their comeback with a concept trailer for their fifth full-length album, ‘Go Back To The Future’, featuring a science fiction-inspired storyline centered around time travel.
Released on June 28 via the group's official YouTube channel, the trailer titled ‘NCT DREAM: We Don’t Need Roads’ introduces a futuristic world where the members travel through time using a hoverboard, blurring the lines between past, present, and future.
The album's narrative spans three time periods: the Past, the Present (set in 2025), and the Absolute Present, a far-off future. In this imagined future, the quirky and curious members of NCT DREAM discover a hoverboard time machine that propels them on a journey across timelines.

The trailer shows all seven members riding hoverboards as they seek out the romance and wonder missing from their dystopian present. They use futuristic gadgets and supernatural powers to disrupt their world’s strict order, adding tension and intrigue to the storyline.
The production received official approval from Back to the Future creators, including Amblin Entertainment and Universal Studios. It pays direct homage to the original film with several visual references, while also incorporating retro-style props, evolving architecture across time periods, red skies, high-energy sequences, and robotic companions.
‘Go Back To The Future’ will feature nine tracks, including double title songs ‘BTTF’ and ‘CHILLER’, capturing the emotional experiences and unpredictable events that unfold during the members’ quest for their brightest selves.
The album is scheduled for release on July 14 at 6 PM KST on major music platforms, with physical copies launching the same day.
