Yunho of ATEEZ has been cast in a special drama commemorating the 20th anniversary of MBC’s iconic variety show ‘Infinite Challenge’, according to an exclusive report by TenAsia on June 28. He has already completed filming.
This vertical short-form drama is based on the “Infinite Company” segment from ‘Infinite Challenge’, which features the beloved office parody universe centered on Jeong Jun Ha’s character, often referred to as “Office Admin Jeong”. The drama portrays the daily chaos at a fictional IT company.
In this special, Yunho plays the role of an assistant manager at the company. This marks his return to acting following his debut in ‘Imitation’ (2021), where he portrayed Yoo Jin, a member of the fictional idol group Sparkling.
According to industry insiders, Yunho’s casting was influenced by multiple factors. “Yunho has been a longtime fan of ‘Infinite Challenge’ and has a strong understanding of the ‘Office Admin Jeong’ storyline,” one source stated. “With his prior acting experience and global popularity through ATEEZ, he was seen as a perfect fit for the role.”
ATEEZ, known for their strong Gen Z fanbase familiar with short-form content, recently released their 12th mini-album ‘Golden Hour: Part 3’ on June 13. The title track ‘Lemonade’ debuted at No. 69 on the Billboard Hot 100 (chart dated June 28), marking a new career high for the group.
ATEEZ is also set to launch their 2025 world tour ‘IN YOUR FANTASY’, beginning with two concerts at Inspire Arena in Incheon on July 5 and 6.
