Kim Gu Ra will return to tvN's 'Martian Virus'.
Kim Gu Ra was previously part of the panel of 'Martian Virus' until he announced his leave from the entertainment industry in April due to controversy regarding past remarks he's made. He returned to the variety scene on 'TAXI' this month, and tvN announced, "Kim Gu Ra will return as the MC of 'Martian Virus'."
He started filming for the show on the 27th and will take back his position from Lee Yoon Suk. Kim Gu Ra had been an MC for 'Martian Virus' since 2009, and he has been sorely missed by viewers.
Kim Gu Ra said, "'Martian Virus' is like my home. Thinking about going back to it is deeply moving. I'm thankful people waited even through my long hiatus. I'm going to show off my characteristic sharpness to dig through the Martians, so look forward to it."
Lee Yoon Suk also showed his support: "I'm happy that the original owner is returning with a good image. I'm looking forward to it."
Kim Gu Ra's returning episode will broadcast on October 2.
