Former NRG member Lee Sung Jin, who is currently undergoing investigations for fraudulent gambling, has apparently been appointed a court lawyer. Speculations are that the star could not afford a lawyer from a private firm, and was thus appointed a state attorney instead.
A representative of Lee Sung Jin stated, "Due to the fraudulent gambling charges, all his assets were exhausted so he's currently suffering financially. This is why he could not hire a private lawyer."
It's also been reported that the former idol appeared in court on the 9th without an attorney. Lee Sung Jin states that though he did travel overseas to gamble, there was no fraudulent behavior.
