Hwang Jung Eum to 'debut' as a singer

Actress Hwang Jung Eum is finally 'debuting' as a singer on SBS's 'Giant'. According to SBS, her debut scene is set to play in the 36th episode on the 14th. As the drama is set in the 1980s, her character, Mi Joo, is to make her official debut during the 1986 Asian Games, at the then-popular theatre stage called 'Baghdad' in Myung-dong. It was reported that Hwang Jun Eum recorded the scene at a theater cafe in Misari on the 10th. She wore a short haired wig with a black two piece dress, and sang the 1986 hit song 'As I Let You Go With a Smile' by Lee Eun Ha. A staff who was on set stated, "Even though Hwang Jun Eum-ssi learnt the song and choreography in just one day, she acted it out brilliantly. There is always something different about ex-singers." The staff also added, "The stage is similar to the theaters in Las Vegas."
