Just earlier this evening, figure skater�Kim Yuna set a world record in the Olympics ladies figure skating short program to the excitement and pride of many fans and Koreans. Even though this wasn't a medal event, the viewer ratings in Korea were off the chart! The average ratings for the whole event was 33.7%. 61.5% of the people watching TV across the nation tuned in. When it was closer to Kim Yuna's performance, the ratings went up quite a bit to 36.2%. 65.9% of the couch potatoes across the nation tuned in. The ratings for the other Olympic events weren't as high as this, which proves that Kim Yuna is one of�the most famous athletes in Korea.
