In the final Music Bank of 2009, SNSD was proclaimed the overall winner for the year with Gee. In the weeks before, 2PM had ruled the K-Chart for four consecutive weeks with Heartbeat. As we descend upon the first day of 2010, who will have the honor of claiming the first K-Chart of the year? The competitors for the first K-Chart of 2010 were 2PM with Heartbeat, T-ara with Bo Peep Bo Peep and Younha with We Broke Up Today. The results were close, but the first K-Chart win of 2010 went to the 6-member girl group. It was T-ara's first-ever win on a music program since their debut so the award must hold even more meaning for the girls. As expected, all the members could not contain their tears while delivering their acceptance speech and during their encore performance. Although there are many disappointed Hottests because of 2PM's loss this week (myself included), let us at least give some respect to T-ara because it's their moment to shine. After all, they did have to suffer wearing hideous wardrobes and experiencing surprise interventions from Junsu. Sincerest congrats to them!
