In a recent interview with Kukmin Ilbo, Kim Soo Hyun stated that despite all the negative reviews and feedback, he still loves the film 'Real'.

He described 'Real' to be the film that would conclude his 20s. He said, "When I first saw the scenario, I felt a lot of pressure and was scared. However, the different kinds of charm the character held was something I couldn't give up. I really wanted to play the character." He continued, "I think the reactions about the movie is natural, I also struggled trying to find the correct interpretation. I think it's just a process in which 'Real' is starting to reach the viewer's hearts. Please enjoy it with your heart, there are a lot of exciting scenes."

Kim Soo Hyun also said, "It could be considered an impolite movie, it could even feel like a puzzle or a maze at times. No matter the result, 'Real' will remain as a project that I loved because I did all I could."
