1. Idol Rappers with Underground Beginnings

'Idol rapper' is a term some people may scoff at, but many spitters in K-Pop will leave those same people dumbfounded with razor sharp rap. K-Pop has its fair share of diversely talented rappers who actually began their careers in the humble, not-so-glorified underground scene. Back when they were not part of idol groups, these rappers kept busy by penning rhymes, dropping mix tapes, performing small shows, all to achieve their big dreams of making a name for themselves. And make it they did! Theses fierce spitters proved that you do not need to stay underground in order to be respected for your rap.

2. Block B's Zico

Block B's Zico was active in the under scene for quite some time before taking his rap career 'over' and debuting as the leader of Block B.

3. EXID's LE (Elly)

LE was active as the only female member of the Jiggy Fellaz crew, known as 'Elly.'

5. Brown Eyed Girls' Miryo (part of Honey Family)

Honey Family was a pretty popular group, but not many people know that Miryo was a part of this crew before joining Brown Eyed Girls as the main rapper.

7. B.A.P's Bang Yong Guk (Jepp Blackman)

My question is...why did he abandon the name of Jepp Blackman?? That's so much cooler than Bang Yong Guk!

8. WINNER's Mino (Hugeboy Mino)

This 'huge boy' was a pretty huge deal in the underground scene. He was active with other rappers such as Block B's Zico and Kyung, P.O. and M.I.B's SIMS. In fact, he was going to debut as a part of Block B but left due to unspecified reasons.

T.O.P's been in the rap game for a while. It really would have been a waste if YG hadn't scouted him for his undeniable talent--not to mention his devilish good looks!
