There are some struggles that every K-pop fan has gone through for the sake of their biases and favorite groups. Do these look familiar to you?
1) You wait forever for comebacks.
Days, weeks, months, even years...
2) But then you have ALL the summer comebacks.
(How do I even keep track of everything?!)
3) Not to mention the wait for debuts.
("How much longer...")
4) K-pop or school...?
You make it so difficult though, Taeyang.
5) How idols must see you:
Just take my money. Take all my money.
6) Your friends and family are sick and tired of hearing all about your favorite groups.
You:
Them:
7) And you've definitely had more than a few fights over biases with your K-pop FRIENDS.
(Back off punk, they're MY bias!)
8) Your bias is either too young...
("It's ok, they can just call me noona/oppa.")
Or too old.
("An 8 year age difference means nothing in love oppa~")
9) You go crazy trying to memorize a billion different terms.
S-line? M-line? V-line? Someone write me a K-pop dictionary please.
10) You can't just say "fantastic" anymore.
I know you slipped in "baby" after reading that.
11) And you always get the urge to correct your math teacher.
Teacher: What's does f(x) mean?
You: A five member South Korean girl group with members Krystal, Victoria, Luna, Sulli, and Amber.
Teacher: ...
12) Sasaeng fans will forever feel your wrath.
13) And dealing with anti-fans saps your energy.
Haters gonna hate hate hate though.
14) Guy idols are prettier than you
(Brb sobbing over this unattainable beauty.)
15) And you cry when their eyeliner and hair game is stronger than yours.
16) You might love them, but can't help but cringe when they speak English.
("I love you and you're perfect but please stop.")
17) The ultimate obstacle to love: geography.
Not only do they rarely come to America, but American concerts sell out in minutes. What's a fan to do.
18) You cry hearing bad news involving your idols.
19) And You've developed separation anxiety from member departures.
20) Rumors of disbandment ruin your day.
21) Actual disbandment ruins your life.
(So done with everything.)
22) You forever hope (in vain) for a reunion.
("I'll wait forever if it takes forever.")
But Don't worry about the struggles. it's all worth being a K-pop fan in the end!
