Dynamic Duo’s Gaeko announced his divorce from businesswoman Kim Sumi, ending their marriage of 14 years.
On January 16, Gaeko shared the news through social media, explaining that the decision was reached after extensive discussions. “Last year, after many conversations, we decided to bring our marital relationship to a close out of respect for each other’s lives,” he wrote.
The couple will share joint custody of their two children. Gaeko emphasized his continued role as a parent, stating, “As parents, we will take on shared responsibility for raising our children and continue to fulfill our roles to the end.”
Kim Sumi also released a brief statement, noting the personal nature of the matter. “As this is a private story, I am being cautious,” she said, adding, “We decided to conclude our marital relationship as a choice that respects each other’s lives.”
She further asked for understanding from the public, urging restraint against speculation and rumors. “Rather than excessive interest or hasty interpretations, I ask that you watch over us with a little warmth,” she said.
Gaeko and Kim Sumi were married in 2011 and have one son and one daughter together.
