Daniel Henney being considered for a role in 'IRIS 2'

Actor Daniel Henney is being considered for a role in 'IRIS 2'.

Production and preparation for the sequel of 'IRIS' began in 2009, and the drama is scheduled to begin airing at the beginning of 2013.

We earlier reported�news that actor Jang Hyuk and actress Lee Da Hae are being considered for the lead roles in the upcoming production, many have been curious to see if the two will indeed be working together for a second time after drama 'Chuno'.

Following the previous reports, it was just recently revealed that Daniel Henney's consideration for the cast is being looked at in a positive light. If reports are confirmed, it would be the actor's return to the small screen after his participation in the 2010 KBS drama 'Fugitive: Plan-B'.

'IRIS' was a much-loved action drama, with an all-star cast headed by Lee Byung Hun and Kim Tae Hee. 'Athena: Goddess of War', a spin-off of 'IRIS' ,was also noted for casting big names in the industry such as Jung Woo Sung, Soo Ae and Cha Seung Won, raising anticipation for the upcoming follow up project.

Meanwhile, filming for 'IRIS 2' will begin in October.
