Mnet Media and SME are still negotiating
Mnet Media is still trying to reach a compromise with SM Entertainment, after SME had publicly announced that they will stop doing business with Mnet.
Back in February, SME had publicly announced, “We will not renew our contract with Mnet.com,” on their homepage.
In response to what they had wrote, SME had stated, “It has been confirmed that the ASP sites that are run by mnet.com, as well as Mnet Media, have released SM contents without our knowledge. This is a clear breach of contract which happened without any notification or explanation to SME.”
However, on the 16th, a representative of Mnet Media spoke with Star News via phone and revealed, “The department in charge is under negotiations in order to continue their contact with SM Entertainment. The songs by SM Entertainment artists are still not available on Mnet.com.”
Conflictions between Mnet Media and SME seem to have died down and a compromise between the two companies seems to be near. But since Mnet is such a big contributor to artists’ album/song sales, hopefully an agreement will be made asap before March 22nd. We don’t want this conflict to affect SNSD’s fame and album sales.
Haha! The last sentence! Wow! Just goes to show what SNSD fans are really like! XD When someone says SM Entertainment I think “SUPER JUNIOR! DBSK! BOA!”, not SNSD. LOL
Oh, well. They could’ve just said that because SNSD is the only one really active right now. But, that would be REALLY hilarious if that wasn’t the reason. XD
I hope SME can stand up or positive thinking???!!!! They lost DBSK,right??? The Legendary Gods of East in SME,what else will be SME stand if lose DBSK. No comment…….SME,you must THINK before say!!!!!! Hope GBU SME,the owner of DBSK&SUJU.

Sorry but i feel a little annoyed when i read the last sentence, “We don’t want this conflict to affect SNSD’s fame and album sales.”??? What does that mean? Why only SNSD? :/ what are they trying to say??? Ok anyway i guess since SNSD is more active than the other groups at the moment, that kind of makes sense…but i wish there was more elaboration. -_- Oh and yeah why isn’t DBSK in the poster? O_O
Guys, i’m pretty sure the person that wrote this article only said SNSD because they are the only ones that are actually promoting their song right now. Other SM artists like suju, shinee, f(x), etc. won’t be affected as of yet since they didn’t come back yet…

and sm should try to get snsd as high up with their new concept as possible (not like theyre not popular enough already lol XD), so they shouldnt screw this up; same goes for mnet.

When I think of SM, I think Super Junior, SHINee, BoA, F(x), SNSD etc. Not just SNSD in general. It’s just someone’s opinion saying that SM is just focusing on SNSD. I’m a big sone.. but saying that is just wrong and not helping the situation at all.
It’s most likely the groups are going to come back soon.. SUJU is on their tour, DBSK most likely in Japan and SHINee is most likely preparing for their comeback. As for F(x), I haven’t heard any news on their swine flu case (Or I just missed it) and I’ve been seeing them do a recent CF and special stages. (Lollipop in China & Heal the World w/ Koreana)

@160: First off, please use proper English. You’ll hurt someone who’s trying to figure out what you said. Secondly, if a site claims that it is a KPop NEWS site, writers shouldn’t be biased. Journalists in general shouldn’t be biased (unless they’re writing an opinion article; even then they need facts to support their opinions). I should know, I’m taking a journalism course. After all, if AllKpop was biased, a lot of important news could be ignored, taken out of context, or just completely twisted.

I think it WILL be done negotiating by the time SNSD drop their album and all that.

hate it when articles get focused around one artist- this also affects suju shinee and f(x) shinee and suju are releasing full albums sometime soon- suju is just as popular as snsd if not more and shinee- they’re not fair behind- f(x) rookies also have a huge fanbase- this affects all the artists of SME esp the small timers like The Trax- who deserve to be just as popular as the other sme artists because they’re awesome and practically compose all their own stuff. anyway SMTOWN! fighting!
