The shocking truth behind the so-called “Injection Aunt” who allegedly performed illegal medical procedures on comedian Park Na Rae has been revealed.
On the January 2 broadcast of 'Curious Stories Y' (Episode 762), the investigative program tracked down the identity and background of Lee (surname withheld), widely referred to as the “Injection Aunt.”
Park Na Rae recently announced a suspension of activities after becoming embroiled in multiple controversies, including allegations of mistreatment of managers and suspicions of illegal medical practices. Former managers alleged that Park received injections outside of licensed medical facilities and was even given medication without prescriptions. These procedures were reportedly carried out by Lee, the individual dubbed the “Injection Aunt.”

The controversy intensified when Key, known to be close friends with Park, and popular YouTuber HAETNIM the short mouth also acknowledged receiving medical procedures from the same individual. Lee had previously introduced herself as the head of a plastic surgery center at a hospital in China and a visiting professor.
As criticism mounted, she took to social media to claim she had been wronged. However, even the director of the plastic surgery clinic where Lee claimed to work denied her assertions, stating, “She introduced herself to me as an overseas patient recruiter. I only provided office space for patient recruitment and was completely unaware of any medical procedures taking place.”
Further concerns were raised during the broadcast when a pharmacist analyzed the drugs allegedly delivered by Lee, suggesting they were narcotic medications commonly known as “butterfly drugs,” a type of appetite suppressant. A dermatologist expressed serious alarm, explaining, “There are signs that multiple injections, including pheniramine and dexamethasone, were indiscriminately mixed. It’s on the level of pouring drugs directly into the body.”
Meanwhile, SBS’s 'Curious Stories Y' continues to delve into the hidden “why” behind headline-making incidents and public figures, offering in-depth investigations through compelling storytelling. The program airs every Friday at 8:50 p.m. KST.
