Monsta X's Joohoney is set to prove his all-rounder status with his second mini-album, '光 (INSANITY)', releasing on January 5. This comeback consolidates over a decade of his musical career into a unique independent worldview.
The title track, "STING (Feat. Muhammad Ali)," is a self-produced masterpiece where Joohoney led the lyrics, composition, and arrangement. It incorporates his signature persona of a "Bee" and actually features the voice of boxing legend Muhammad Ali. The song reinterprets Ali's famous quote to deliver a message of raw energy and catharsis.
Visually, the album captures the duality of "Light" and "Madness." Teaser images have shown him ranging from a pure musician to a boxer covered in scars, representing the struggle between an artist's obsession and the spotlight. The album also boasts a star-studded lineup, including features from hip-hop legend Tiger JK and IVE's Rei, raising anticipation for this high-quality release.
