The dispute regarding the personal life of actor Lee Yi Kyung has entered a new phase as A, a German woman who leveled allegations against him, announced that she is preparing a counter-lawsuit.
On January 4, 2026 (KST), A shared an additional statement on her social media account, claiming, "I previously mentioned that I sent an email to the actor’s agency in May with captures regarding his sexual remarks and photos. Today, I am releasing logs showing that the actor attempted to contact me via VoiceTalk."
According to A, the released evidence includes chat logs where she explained she could not take the call, along with screenshots of the incoming call shared with an acquaintance. A further alleged that during their conflict, Lee Yi Kyung told her, "Since you sent an email to our office, your identity will be revealed. Are you okay with that? This is a crime that can be investigated by hiring a lawyer."

A interpreted these remarks as a threat, stating, "His comments were delivered in a menacing way, implying my personal information would be exposed while he avoided responsibility for his previous sexual harassment." She also noted that Lee Yi Kyung contacted her directly after she emailed his agency—despite her not telling him she had done so—which confirmed his identity. According to her account, he also remarked, "Now I might have to meet with reporters because of you," and "I thought of you as a close younger sister and shared my daily life with you for a long time; why did you do this?"
Explaining her previous retraction, A stated that she felt overwhelmed by psychological pressure at the time. Regarding the incomplete chat logs, she explained, "I cannot submit the entire conversation because I switched mobile phones, and the chat room is not on my current device." However, she emphasized that the screenshots are not forged and that she is preparing for legal action following guidance from her embassy. She also challenged Lee Yi Kyung, stating, "If he wishes to uncover the truth, I request that he cooperate faithfully with future digital forensic procedures."
The controversy began in October 2024 when A first claimed to have engaged in sexual conversations with Lee Yi Kyung. Since then, A has repeatedly posted and deleted claims, at one point apologizing by saying the initial exposure was AI-generated before recanting that apology. Meanwhile, the legal team for Lee Yi Kyung has filed a lawsuit for defamation and is currently awaiting the results of the investigation.
