MONSTA X have dropped the music video for their new pre-release single "Do What I Want," unveiled on August 18 at 6 p.m. KST alongside its digital release.
"Do What I Want" is a hip-hop track that captures the group’s confident attitude, pairing groovy bass and rhythmic drums with a catchy hook. Members Joohoney and I.M took part in writing, bringing MONSTA X’s signature mix of sincerity and style to the track.
The music video highlights the group’s raw yet refined energy, featuring bold visuals with horn- and goblin-inspired imagery, as well as spontaneous performances that showcase their free-spirited charm. Fans noted it reflects the confident edge of their early hip-hop tracks while revealing a more mature side.
The track serves as a prelude to MONSTA X’s new mini album "THE X," set for release on September 1 to mark the group’s 10th anniversary.
