NCT member Doyoung greeted viewers on the April 19 broadcast of MBC's 'I Live Alone', introducing himself as a single-home resident of 6 months.

On this episode, Doyoung revealed, "I used to live in a dorm, then when my older brother began his military service, I went to live with my family for a bit before I decided to move out and live on my own." He added on, "I wanted to have houseplants no matter what, and I also enjoy collecting perfume and incense. I relieve stress by buying what I like." 

As a part of his daily routine, Doyoung was seen caring for his health meticulously by drinking sword bean tea, water extracted from maple trees, taking vitamins, eating dried abalone, and wearing a mask for his neck. The idol also showed off his impressive cooking skills using seasonal ingredients, preparing a healthy and delicious meal for himself.

The NCT member also drew attention for his obsession with dating reality shows, watching them all day while taking care of daily tasks. Regarding his reason for watching dating realities, Doyoung commented, "They can be stressful, and sometimes I might feel frustrated. But there is definitely also dopamine."

However, when asked if he imagines himself in the situations that he so often sees in the dating reality programs, Doyoung answered, "No, I do not imagine myself in those situations. I am an idol after all."

Hearing this, Park Na Rae remarked, "He is immaculate!". Gian84 pressed further by asking, "Don't you ever feel jealous when you see those people dating?". Doyoung answered without emotion, "Yes... I don't feel a single ounce of jealousy." 

Fellow sunbae idol SHINee's Key soon came to Doyoung's aid, jokingly explaining, "There is mental education that idols must undergo in the basement. The duration of the program is 2-years."

The other 'I Live Alone' cast members then asked Key, "Don't a lot of idols these days date though?", to which Key responded, "Don't ask me. I don't know." Coming back to reality, Key also noted, "As you can see, the education that I received for 2-years follows me throughout my life for 20 years."
