Big Hit Music's rookie boy group team 'Trainee A' began preparations for their debut with the launch of 'A-Road' on YouTube. 

On January 11, Trainee A revealed the first episode of 'A-Road', "Can we Debut..? [A-Road] EP.1". Here, the current trainees in Big Hit Music's upcoming boy group were interviewed and additional behind-the-scene procedures in preparation for their debut were revealed. In particular, Trainee A member Leo, who previously faced criticism for his misogynistic lyrics, was also among the debut team members.

During the video, one of the evaluators of the trainees stated, "In the current society, I don't think this is an era where idols can appeal to the public with only their visuals or skills. Their abilities to put the influence of their own stories into the songs and performances that they create themselves, and whether they can appeal to the public as an artist and as a person were carefully considered as important elements, given global trends. Bceause we don't think the K-pop scene is an exception to this, that is why we came up with our current debut evaluations."

She added, "For our year 2022 team, we thought they had more than enough abilities to pull this off and thus, we chose to use this kind of debut evaluation."
