A heartbreaking incident occurred in Gangneung, Gangwon Province, where a rescued dog that had been adopted from a local animal shelter was returned just seven hours later, with its fur shaved off.
On July 20, the Gangneung City Animal Love Center shared before-and-after photos of the rescue dog named Kuno. According to the animal center, Kuno was returned just seven hours after his adoption.
Before his adoption, Kuno charmed with his fluffy white fur and bright energy. However, he was returned with patchy fur, with his whole body shaved carelessly.
According to the center, Kuno was adopted at 1 PM on July 19. However, the adopter returned him after just seven hours, stating, "He doesn't get along with my other pet."

The Gangneung City Animal Love Center shared the photos and explained, "The adopter attempted to shave him at home, and he's just left with this fur. It's already disheartening that he was returned, and now we're at a loss as to how we can show off his charm again."
The center added, "His coat is a mess, and we were worried that his spirit might be, too. Fortunately, Kuno is still as bright and cheerful as ever. That makes it even more heartbreaking. We feel so sorry for him."
Kuno is currently waiting to find a new forever home.
A shelter representative shared, "When he came back, instead of sulking, Kuno rubbed up against us and tried to play. He still loves people. We hope he finds a geniune family before his loving heart fades. His fur may be ruined now, but it will grow back."
