IVE’s latest album has drawn major attention from U.S. media outlets.
On March 3 local time, U.S. music publication Billboard spotlighted IVE’s second full length album ‘REVIVE+,’ which was released on February 23.
Billboard wrote that “IVE’s new album presents a more refined musical direction,” adding that powerful group tracks with expanded sound blend seamlessly with solo songs that highlight each member’s individuality and musical spectrum.
The publication further noted that while maintaining the group’s signature chemistry, the album opens a new chapter by expanding the meaning of the name IVE both as individuals and as a group. It also highlighted that the album includes solo tracks from all members.
Particular attention was given to the pre release double title track ‘BANG BANG,’ which was unveiled on February 9 ahead of the album’s release. The song introduced the album’s new musical direction and energy through its powerful EDM sound and confident message.
International attention has also translated into chart performance. According to the latest charts released by Billboard on March 3 dated March 7, ‘BANG BANG’ has appeared on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts for two consecutive weeks. The album ‘REVIVE+’ also entered the World Albums chart at No. 19, demonstrating IVE’s growing global influence.
The song has also shown steady performance across regional charts. ‘BANG BANG’ ranked No. 3 for two consecutive weeks on Billboard Korea’s Hot 100 chart dated March 7 and placed No. 4 on the Global K Song chart. It also successfully charted for two weeks on Billboard Japan’s Hot 100 and song charts across three Asian regions, reflecting strong international interest.
Beyond Billboard, IVE has achieved notable results on global streaming platforms as well. The album ‘REVIVE+’ ranked No. 7 on Spotify’s Weekly Top Album Debuts Global chart and No. 8 on Weekly Top Album Debuts U.S., further highlighting the group’s presence in the global market.
Meanwhile, the pre release track ‘BANG BANG’ dominated major Korean music platforms, achieving a Perfect All Kill after topping real time and daily charts. The song also secured No. 1 on weekly charts and won four music show trophies. As of 10 AM on the 4th, the track continues to maintain its Perfect All Kill status, reaffirming the powerful “IVE syndrome” both domestically and internationally.
Meanwhile, IVE will continue promotions with the album’s other title track ‘BLACKHOLE’ on ‘M Countdown’, airing on March 5th at 6 PM KST.
