CJ ENM has announced the schedule and venue for the '2026 MAMA AWARDS', a leading global awards show that has continued to showcase the status of K-pop in the international music market.
The '2026 MAMA AWARDS' will be held over two days, November 20th and 21st, at Kyocera Dome Osaka in Japan. Built on nearly 30 years of Mnet’s production expertise, the 'MAMA AWARDS' goes beyond a traditional awards ceremony to present the essence of K-pop. The event will be broadcast live worldwide through digital platforms such as Mnet Plus, allowing fans across the globe to participate regardless of time and location.
This year, the 'MAMA AWARDS' is set to evolve once again. CJ ENM is preparing a range of on-site and online events that global fandoms can enjoy together. Known for introducing new trends in the K-pop industry and delivering innovative stage productions each year, the '2026 MAMA AWARDS' will expand beyond the main ceremony with various boundary-breaking programs under its core theme, “Music Makes ONE.”
The 'MAMA AWARDS', hosted by CJ ENM, began in 1999 as the “Mnet Video Music Awards.” In 2009, it became Korea’s first pan-Asian music awards show, and through a rebranding in 2022, it solidified its global standing. Notably, in 2024, it successfully held a relay event across Los Angeles and Osaka, becoming the first K-pop awards show to do so. In 2025, it further gained global recognition by winning Best General Entertainment Programme at the Asian Academy Creative Awards (AACA).
A representative from CJ ENM stated, “We are accelerating preparations early to create another turning point at the end of this year. By bringing together 27 years of expertise, we aim to deliver a one-of-a-kind experience with unparalleled performances and new connected programs that only the 'MAMA AWARDS' can present.”
With global payment technology company Visa joining as the title sponsor, the '2026 MAMA AWARDS' will take place on November 20th and 21st at Kyocera Dome Osaka and will be broadcast live worldwide.
