NCT Dream’s Jisung celebrated a meaningful birthday by putting his influence to good use through a major donation.
Samsung Seoul Hospital announced on February 5 KST that Jisung donated 250 million KRW (approx. 170,818 USD), requesting that the funds be used to support research into intractable diseases.
The donation will be allocated specifically to pancreatic cancer research, including precision medicine studies in the field. It is expected to contribute to advancements in medical research for diseases that are currently difficult to cure.
Jisung shared, “It broke my heart to see patients suffering from illnesses that are hard to treat. Though it may be a small contribution, I hope it can help advance medical research and technology.” He added, “Thanks to the love and support from Czennie, I was able to take part in this act of giving. I want to give back by helping create a warmer world.”
This is not his first act of generosity. In March last year, Jisung also donated 50 million KRW (approx. 34,164 USD) to support recovery efforts for residents affected by wildfires in the Yeongnam region, contributing to housing and livelihood restoration for displaced families.
Meanwhile, NCT Dream is set to hold the finale concert of its tour, '2026 NCT Dream Tour ‘The Dream Show 4: Future The Dream’, in Seoul next month.
