IVE shared their thoughts on returning with a full length album.
On the afternoon of the 23rd, IVE held a media showcase at YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin, Seoul, to celebrate the release of their second full length album ‘REVIVE+.’
Gaeul expressed, “It feels special to return with a full album after nearly three years. We worked hard to show an evolved and grown IVE that never stops changing. We’ve already received so much love for the pre release track ‘BANG BANG,’ and we will carry this momentum into our promotions for ‘BLACKHOLE.’”
Rei added, “I’m proud that we were able to capture everything we’ve built under the name IVE in a way that truly represents us. We will work hard to showcase our diverse charms, which are part of our identity, so please show lots of love for this promotion as well.”
Yujin explained the meaning behind the album title, saying, “The name means ‘to reignite’ or ‘to spark again.’ It reflects our ambition to spread the flames of IVE even further and wider.”
Liz commented, “If our previous albums focused on messages centered around ‘me,’ this album expands the message to ‘us.’ We tried many new musical and performance approaches, so I hope you will view it from a fresh perspective.”
Wonyoung said, “We focused on presenting a new visual concept, so please look forward to our stages,” while the youngest member Leeseo shared with a smile, “Now that I’ve turned 20, we are officially an all adult group. I hope you will look forward to seeing IVE’s diverse new sides.”
IVE’s second full length album ‘REVIVE+’ is not simply about resetting or declaring change, but rather about reigniting. After building a narrative of self confidence centered on “me,” IVE now expands that perspective to “us,” unfolding stories about relationships and connection.
‘REVIVE+’ will be released on the 23rd at 6 p.m.
