
i-dle's Minnie has been offered a role in the new comedy film 'The Original Dope Rice Cakes', according to media outlet reports on February 27 KST.
Inspired by the 2012 French film 'Paulette', 'The Original Dope Rice Cakes' follows the story of Ahn Bok Ja, the owner of a rice cake shop. One day, she witnesses drugs being sold before her eyes. The role of Ahn Bok Ja will be played by actress Ra Mi Ran. Actor Go Kyung Pyo is also on board for the project as Woo Ho Jae, a man who gets tangled up in the drug deal.
Minnie has been offered the role of a Thai national who owns a cafe near Bok Ja's rice cake shop.
Minnie, who made her acting debut in the 2021 Netflix series 'So Not Worth It', was cast as the female lead in the Thai remake of '50 First Dates' last year.
Meanwhile, i-dle recently wrapped up the openers to their 2026 world tour, 'Syncopation', with a 2-day show at the KSPO Dome in Seoul from February 21-22.
