Actress Lee Chung Ah shared that she missed the 'golden time' after a traffic accident, which led to her hip injury spreading up to her neck.
Recently, Lee Chung Ah appeared on the YouTube channel ‘Yoo Yeon Seok's Weekend Drama’ and gave an update on how she has been doing.
When asked about a body part she has been paying particular attention to, Lee Chung Ah pointed to her hip joint and said, “I watched at least 100 pieces of content related to hip rehabilitation.”
She explained, “In August last year, when I started filming a drama, I got into a traffic accident and injured my hip. It hurt, but I went straight into filming and couldn’t receive treatment. After missing the golden time, the pain traveled through my lower back and up to my neck. There were a lot of action scenes, I wore heels, and I didn’t get enough sleep. I needed to recover, but I kept being in pain, which was frustrating.”
Continuing to share the lessons she learned through this process, she said, “As I tried to understand why it hurt, I learned that the hip joint works together with many other parts of the body to support overall balance. I’m wearing heels less often while filming now, so my condition has improved. After filming ends, I plan to rest for a few days to recover.”
She also added that strengthening the glute muscles through simple bridge exercises can help with hip joint health.
Meanwhile, Lee Chung Ah stars in ENA's new drama ‘Honour,’ which premieres on February 2 KST. She first gained fame and public recognition in 2004 as the female lead of 'Temptation of Wolves' alongside Kang Dong Won and Jo Han Sun.
In recent years, she has appeared in a variety of dramas, including the Netflix series 'Celebrity' and the MBC drama 'My Dearest.' In 2024, she appeared as a supporting actress in Coupang's original series 'HIDE.'
