Jihoon of boy group TWS is mourning the loss of his father.
On January 12, TWS’s agency Pledis Entertainment released an official statement announcing that Jihoon’s father passed away on the evening of January 11 after his condition rapidly worsened during illness. Jihoon is currently staying at the funeral hall with his family.
The agency stated that the funeral will be held privately, in accordance with the wishes of the bereaved family, and asked for warm consideration so that Jihoon may take sufficient time to grieve with his loved ones. They also conveyed their deepest condolences and prayed for the repose of the deceased.
TWS recently attended the 40th Golden Disc Awards, held at the Taipei Dome on January 10. The news of Jihoon’s loss has resonated deeply with fans, especially as he previously mentioned his father during the group’s first solo concert in June last year, asking from the stage, “Dad, did I do well?”
Jihoon debuted as a member of TWS in January 2024 after seven years of training, and he continues to receive support and sympathy from fans during this difficult time.
