Jang Won Young's agency has addressed recent speculation surrounding alleged personal business activities.
Starship Entertainment stated, “The project recently mentioned in connection with Jang Won Young, ‘Forever Cherry,’ is a brand collaboration initiative and not a personal business venture operated by the artist.”
The agency explained, “The name reflects the artist’s unique identity and image. To prevent indiscriminate commercial misuse or brand exploitation by third parties following the conclusion of the project, we proceeded with a trademark application under Jang Won Young’s name.”
Starship further noted, “The reason the trademark filing covers a broad range of categories is part of a proactive effort to prevent the misuse of the artist’s image across various industries.”
Concluding the statement, the agency emphasized, “This measure was taken with the artist’s rights as the top priority, to preserve her distinct value fully. We will continue to make every effort to protect the rights and interests of our artists moving forward.”
Earlier, speculation surfaced that Jang Won Young was launching her own brand after fans discovered a new social media account, for_evercherry10, believed to be linked to the idol. The rumors gained further traction when trademark filings associated with the name were subsequently uncovered.
