i-dle is making a comeback, unveiling a new musical direction.
On January 21 KST, the girl group revealed the digital single album cover art, signaling a raw, yet bold concept. A day earlier, the group shared a video teaser for the “Play the Whole World in Mono” version of their upcoming digital single 'Mono' on social media.
The video offers a condensed glimpse into the concept of the new track. In stark contrast to the flashy and vibrant aesthetics they have previously showcased, the monochrome visuals signal a clear departure and hint at a new artistic path.
The single features British rapper Skaiwater, an artist known for his distinctive tone and rap style, who participated as a featured artist on 'Mono.'
This marks i-dle’s return with new music approximately eight months after their last release. The agency stated, “Please look forward to i-dle’s further expanded and innovative musical world.”
Meanwhile, i-dle is set to release Mono on January 27 at 6 PM (KST).
