Danielle is drawing attention for her rapid rise on social media after launching a new personal SNS account and beginning her independent activities.
Just three days after the account was made public, Danielle’s follower count surpassed 862,000, surprising many observers. She currently follows only one account, her older sister Olivia Marsh, making the speed of the account’s growth even more notable.
On January 12 at 7 p.m. KST, Danielle held a live broadcast on the platform, where she communicated directly with fans. The livestream marked her first official interaction since being notified by her former agency, ADOR, of the termination of her exclusive contract.
Danielle’s legal representatives stated that the broadcast was intended solely for sincere communication with fans and was unrelated to the ongoing legal dispute. They emphasized that the livestream should not be interpreted as a statement regarding the lawsuit.
Meanwhile, NewJeans, who had repeatedly called for the reinstatement of former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin, unilaterally declared the termination of their exclusive contracts in November 2024. In response, ADOR filed a lawsuit in December seeking judicial confirmation of the validity of the exclusive contracts, along with an injunction to prevent the members from engaging in independent activities prior to a final ruling.
The court granted the injunction and later ruled in ADOR’s favor in the first-instance main trial, determining that the exclusive contracts remained valid. Currently, ADOR has filed a lawsuit against Danielle, seeking the termination of her exclusive contract as well as approximately 43.1 billion KRW (about 29.7 million USD) in contractual penalties and damages.
