Danielle, who was removed from NewJeans, has directly spoken out about the ongoing legal dispute surrounding her.
During an SNS live broadcast on the 12th, Danielle said, “There’s one thing I really want to share,” adding, “Many situations are still in the process of being sorted out. That includes the lawsuit as well.”
She emphasized, “One thing I can say for certain is that NewJeans is always in a corner of my heart.”
Danielle went on to express her continued affection for both the group and fans, saying, “Even if the members are in slightly different places, we share the same heart as one Bunnies.”
She continued, “Bunnies, this isn’t the end. In the days ahead—whether through music, silence, or small moments—I want to share things sincerely and beautifully.”
Toward the end of the broadcast, Danielle became emotional as she said she wants to gradually return the love she received from fans “in the way I know best.” She added, “I hope your days ahead are gentle, healthy, and filled with light. I’m always grateful,” before shedding tears once again.
ADOR, the agency behind NewJeans, announced on the 29th of last month that it had notified Danielle of the termination of her exclusive contract. At the time, the company stated it planned to hold Danielle’s family member and former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin legally responsible, claiming they bore significant responsibility for the dispute and the group’s departure and delayed return.
Subsequently, ADOR filed a lawsuit seeking penalties and damages totaling approximately 40 billion KRW (29–30 million USD) against Danielle, a member of her family, and former CEO Min Hee Jin. Danielle has since appointed legal representation and submitted a power of attorney to the court in response to the lawsuit.
