
On January 17 KST, Daesung announced that his scheduled 'D's WAVE ENCORE!' tour in Asia would be concluding prematurely due to his throat health.
D-Label informed fans on this day,
"Hello, this is D-Label.
We sincerely thank audiences for your unchanging attention and love for Daesung's '2025 Asia Tour: D's WAVE ENCORE'.
This tour was originally scheduled to take place throughout the first half of 2026. However, taking into consideration the advice of medical experts and prioritizing the throat health of the artist foremost, it has been decided that the tour will formally conclude after the scheduled show in Osaka this month.
Once again, we thank you for your love and support toward '2025 Asia Tour: D's WAVE' and '2025 Asia Tour: D's WAVE ENCORE'.
Thank you."
Daesung himself also personally apologized to fans via his official fan platform in light of the announcement. He said, "My voice is not returning to its normal condition as fast as I would like it to, which is leading me to spend my days fretting in frustration."
He added on, "At times, you need to face reality and endure moments of suffering in order to shine brighter when the time is right... Once again, I'm sorry, and more than that, thank you."
Earlier this month, Daesung took the stage in front of fans at 'D's WAVE ENCORE! - Seoul' at TicketLink Live Arena for three days from January 2-4. Fellow Big Bang member Taeyang made a guest appearance, hinting at Big Bang's full group activities in 2026 - expected to kick off with their reunion performance at 'Coachella' in April.
