BTS has fired the opening signal for its long-awaited full-group comeback in Seoul.
On January 5 KST, the central staircase of Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, located near Gwanghwamun Square, was transformed into a large-scale outdoor display dedicated to BTS. The installation featured the group’s name, the logo of their upcoming album, and its release date, promoting their fifth full-length album scheduled for release on March 20. The choice of venue drew attention, as the Sejong Center is widely regarded as a symbolic landmark of Korean culture and the arts.
BTS’s agency, BigHit Music, explained the significance of the event, stating,
“BTS began in Korea and has grown into a group active on the global stage. As they return as a complete group after a long time, we chose to hold this offline promotion in the heart of Seoul, their cultural home.”
The agency added that the outdoor campaign will expand to major global cities including New York, Tokyo, and London.
At the top of the staircase, a sculptural installation of the new album’s logo has drawn considerable public interest. The logo was first revealed through handwritten letters that BTS recently sent to fans worldwide. While the meaning behind the design remains undisclosed, fans are actively speculating and sharing interpretations online as anticipation for the comeback builds.
Meanwhile, BTS will release their fifth full-length album on March 20, marking their first full-group comeback in approximately three years and nine months. The album will include 14 tracks and is expected to present a concentrated portrait of “who BTS is now,” reflecting the emotions and reflections accumulated throughout their journey.
Following the album’s release, the seven members will embark on a large-scale world tour. Detailed information regarding the tour will be announced on February 14 via the global superfan platform Weverse.
