Allday Project member Annie personally addressed fans ahead of her return to university, explaining the situation and asking for their understanding.
On January 14 KST, Annie shared a message through a fan communication platform, saying, “DayOne (the fandom name), you must have been really surprised. I should have told you first, but I didn’t expect news articles to come out so suddenly.”
She continued, “I was told early last year that I couldn’t extend my leave of absence any further, so I discussed everything in advance with the members and the company before making this decision. And I only have one semester left! I earned a lot of credits earlier, so if I complete just one more semester, I’ll graduate.”
Reassuring fans, Annie added, “It’s only until early May—about three and a half months. You’ll wait for me, right? I’ll focus on school, but I’ll also work a lot on music in the U.S., and I’ll update you often, so please don’t worry too much.”
She apologized again, saying, “I’m really sorry I couldn’t tell DayOne first. But you’ll be proud of me when I graduate, right? I’m going to miss you all so much.”
Earlier that day, her agency The Black Label announced that Annie would be returning to Columbia University in New York, where she will complete the spring semester through May. While she plans to focus primarily on her studies, participation in select schedules such as fan signing events remains a possibility.
During Annie’s academic period, the remaining Allday Project members will continue group music preparations alongside individual activities to minimize any hiatus. Annie is currently majoring in Art History and Visual Arts at Columbia University.
