Mo Soo Jin, vocalist of the band Acoustic Collabo, tragically passed away.
According to her agency and related sources on January 28, Mo Soo Jin passed away on January 25. Her funeral procession was held at 10:30 a.m. on January 28 at Namyangju Eden Memorial Park. Born in 1999, the late singer was a former idol trainee. She joined Acoustic Collabo as a third generation vocalist in 2020 and later took part in the release of the group’s third full length album 'Good to be with You.'
Acoustic Collabo originally began as a one man band led by Kim Seung Jae. After second generation vocalists An Da Eun and Kim Kyu Nyeon, Mo Soo Jin was subsequently named as a member of the group.
In 2022, the members became involved in a dispute with their agency, leading to a prolonged legal battle. In 2024, the 24th Civil Division of the Seoul Central District Court ruled in their favor. After concluding the legal dispute, Acoustic Collabo signed an exclusive contract with new agency Panic Button in 2025 and resumed activities. In June 2025, Mo Soo Jin also released the single album 'Your Universe' under her birth name as she sought to continue her musical career.
On January 27, Panic Button stated, “We pray for the repose of the deceased,” adding, “All funeral procedures were carried out privately, with only family, relatives, and close acquaintances in attendance, in accordance with the wishes of the bereaved family.”
The agency continued, “We are deeply saddened to deliver such heartbreaking news. The bereaved family is in profound grief following this sudden loss,” and added, “In accordance with the family’s wishes, the cause of death and other details will not be disclosed. We respectfully ask that people refrain from groundless speculation or spreading rumors.”
