
The Tazza franchise is returning with 'Tazza: The Song of Beelzebub,' which centers on a high stakes poker business and a deadly rivalry. Actors Byun Yo Han and Roh Jae Won have been cast as the lead roles, portraying former friends who reunite on the global gambling scene.
'Tazza: The Song of Beelzebub' is a crime film that follows Jang Tae Young, played by Byun Yo Han, who rises to success through a poker business, and Park Tae Young, played by Roh Jae Won, his close friend who eventually takes everything from him. The two men meet again at an international gambling table where enormous sums of money and their lives are at stake.
Byun Yo Han portrays Jang Tae Young, a natural born gambler who seems to draw money to him by instinct. After discovering the poker business, he launches a new venture but is betrayed by his closest friend and pushed into ruin.
Roh Jae Won takes on the role of Park Tae Young, a gifted poker prodigy. Despite his talent, he is constantly overshadowed by Jang Tae Young. As his obsession with success and business grows, he ultimately betrays the friend he once trusted.
Japanese actress Ayaka Miyoshi joins the cast as Kaneko. Miyoshi began her career as a top model in Japan and later gained global recognition for her role as Ann in Netflix’s hit series 'Alice in Borderland.'
Kaneko is the head of a corporation backed by a yakuza organization and develops a strong interest in the poker business run by Jang Tae Young and Park Tae Young. The character is expected to become a new iconic female figure in the Tazza series, following the legacy of Kim Hye Soo and Shin Se Kyung.
The film is directed by Choi Kook Hee, known for 'Default.' With 'Tazza: The Song of Beelzebub,' the director aims to maintain the franchise’s originality while introducing a new direction to the series.
'Tazza: The Song of Beelzebub' is currently in production and is scheduled for release next year.
