Nana, who recently went through a frightening robbery incident, has revealed the self-defense item she now carries in her bag.
On December 17, Harper’s Bazaar Korea released a video titled ‘Everything About Nana These Days, From Recently Started Care to Healing Routine Item She’s Into’ on its official channel. In the video, Nana drew attention by introducing a self-defense spray as a recent purchase.
“I brought one item with me,” Nana said. “After going through a major incident recently, I came to truly realize that I’m the only one who can protect myself.” She continued, “I hope there’s never a situation where I have to use it, but in case a dangerous moment ever arises, I want to protect myself. That’s why I’d like to recommend a self-defense spray as an essential item.”
Previously, Nana was the victim of a robbery last month when a man in his 30s, identified as A, broke into her home in Acheon dong, Guri, Gyeonggi Province, while carrying a weapon and demanding valuables. At the time, Nana was at home with her mother. The intruder reportedly assaulted her mother by choking her, among other acts of violence.
Nana and her mother managed to subdue the suspect after a struggle and immediately reported the incident to the police. During the ordeal, Nana’s mother suffered serious injuries and reportedly lost consciousness, but later regained consciousness after receiving hospital treatment. Nana also sustained injuries and underwent medical care.
The incident has since highlighted the importance of personal safety, a message Nana emphasized by candidly sharing her experience and the steps she now takes to protect herself.
