Actress Lee Si Young has issued an apology following allegations that a group she was associated with caused disturbances at a campsite.
On December 29, posts began circulating across online communities claiming that campers experienced noise disturbances on December 22 at a campsite in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi Province, allegedly caused by a group that Lee Si Young was part of.
According to the post written by an individual identified as A, the group in question occupied multiple adjacent camping sites and played loud music through speakers. The writer also claimed that the group used microphones to host games late into the night. Despite posted campsite rules stating that quiet hours begin after 11 p.m. and vehicle movement is prohibited during that time, the group allegedly failed to comply. A further alleged that the group moved across other campers’ sites while noisily conducting a treasure hunt.
In response, Lee Si Young posted a public apology on her personal SNS. She wrote, “I sincerely apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable at the campsite. I was told that our group was the only one with a reservation that day, so I believed we were the only guests there. After checking, I learned that another team arrived later in the evening, as the campsite owner explained.”
Lee Si Young continued, “Because of my second child, I arrived late in the afternoon and could not stay until late at night, so I left after a few hours and was not fully aware of the detailed situation. I personally believe that observing quiet hours at campsites is extremely important, and I sincerely apologize once again.”
The actress’s statement has since drawn attention as she directly addressed the controversy and expressed regret for any inconvenience caused.
