BTS's Jungkook is kicking off 2026 as the first cover star of Elle Korea.
On December 14, Elle Korea released a teaser video announcing the news. The magazine will reveal 9 different covers on December 15 at 10 AM KST.
The photoshoot took place in Paris, the home of CHANEL, featuring iconic landmarks like the Eiffel Tower. The teaser included the phrase, "In Paris, where his brand-new journey has started."
This cover is especially significant as it is his first official activity since being named CHANEL's Global Ambassador for Fragrance & Beauty on December 11. Notably, he is the brand's first male global ambassador for this division.
A CHANEL director praised Jungkook, stating, "He is a true source of inspiration for the new generation."
Jungkook also shared his excitement about the partnership: "CHANEL is a pioneering brand that creates the new while respecting its identity. As an artist who wants to take on new challenges while keeping my own color, this partnership has special meaning."
