Sung Si Kyung will move forward with his year-end concert plans despite recently being rocked by news of betrayal from his longtime manager.
On November 10, concert production company S27 announced via its official social media that Sung Si Kyung will hold his year-end concert ‘Sung Si Kyung’ from December 25 to 28 at the KSPO Dome in Seoul.
The announcement comes shortly after Sung Si Kyung personally addressed the recent controversy and uncertainty surrounding his year-end shows on his social media, expressing both gratitude and determination to carry on.
“I’ve received plenty of hate comments in my life, but I don’t think I’ve ever gotten this much comfort and support before,” he wrote. “It made me realize that I must not have lived such a bad life after all. I’m sincerely thankful, your messages have been a great source of comfort and strength.”
Reflecting on the experience, he continued, “When I was young, I never really understood the saying ‘sae-ong-ji-ma’ (fortune and misfortune come hand in hand). Now I think being an adult means facing everything calmly, wisely, and with gratitude, even when it’s difficult.”
Sung Si Kyung added, “This has been a time for me to look back deeply on my life, who I am as a person, and what it means to be a singer. I’ve decided to take on the challenge of holding the year-end concert, for the fans who have supported and waited for me, and most of all, for myself. I’ll take care of my body and mind and prepare to end this year in a warm, meaningful way.”
Earlier this month, it was revealed that Sung Si Kyung had suffered financial damage caused by a manager who had worked with him for over a decade. His agency confirmed, “It was discovered that Sung Si Kyung’s former manager engaged in actions that betrayed the company’s trust during his employment. After an internal investigation, we recognized the seriousness of the issue and are currently confirming the extent of the financial loss.” The manager has since left the company.
