Comedian Park Mi Sun revealed a bold new profile photo showing her completely shaved head.
On the November 12 episode of tvN’s variety show 'You Quiz on the Block,' Park Mi Sun, who recently completed treatment for breast cancer, appeared on the program, marking her return to the public eye.
Wearing a short haircut paired with a jacket, Park Mi Sun humorously introduced her fashion choice for the day. She said, “I feel like a textile designer who studied in Italy and started a business in Milan.”
Commenting on her new look, she said, “My fashion now follows my hair. I used to wear very feminine clothes, but I have tried changing my style. After 10 months, it still feels awkward and unfamiliar. I think many people will be surprised by how bold it is.”
She added, “People might think, ‘Why not wear a wig?’ But my hair was completely shaved before it started growing again. For breast cancer chemotherapy, I was told that hair loss is 100 percent, so I shaved it in advance. When I did, I thought, ‘Doesn’t this look like Furiosa?’ and enjoyed the process. Because I treated it lightly, my family did too. I have heard many women cry when cutting their hair, but hair grows back. I thought, when will I have another chance like this? So I did it happily.”

Park Mi Sun also unveiled the profile photo she took after shaving her head. The photo shows a bright, radiant smile. She explained, “I took the profile photo with my shaved head. My daughter told me to do it, and I am glad I did.”
Reflecting on her battle with breast cancer, she shared how it changed her outlook on life. She said, “I did not have any other symptoms, but I was extremely tired. I would often fall asleep during recordings and frequently nap in the waiting room. That was my body signaling me, but I kept pushing myself. In my 38 years, after giving birth to my first child, I only rested for a month, and the same was true for my second child. I treated my career like a regular job, not as an entertainer. Looking back, life went by so fast.”
She added with a smile, “I do not know what next year will bring. I am trying not to plan too much and to live more like water flows, learning to rest when I need to.”
