After a year since their contract termination announcement last November, all members of NewJeans are reportedly planning to return to their agency, ADOR. Following Haerin and Hyein, members Minji, Hanni, and Danielle have expressed their intention to rejoin the agency.
On November 12th, Minji, Hanni, and Danielle told Yonhap News, “After careful discussions, we have decided to return to ADOR.”
They added, “One member is currently in Antarctica, which caused some delay in communication. As we have not received a response from ADOR, we are announcing this separately. We will continue to meet our fans with sincere music and performances.”
With this, all members of NewJeans are expected to resume activities as a complete group. In response, ADOR stated, “We are currently confirming the sincerity of Minji, Hanni, and Danielle’s intention to return.”
Earlier, ADOR had announced that Harin and Hyein had expressed their intention to continue activities with the agency. “After careful consideration with their families and thorough discussions with ADOR, the two members have decided to respect the court’s ruling and honor their contracts,” the agency explained.
Previously, NewJeans members had requested the reinstatement of former CEO Min Hee Jin, who was dismissed amid conflicts with HYBE, but the request was denied. The group then claimed that ADOR had violated their contracts, leading to the termination in November last year.
ADOR maintained that the contracts with NewJeans remain valid and filed a lawsuit in December to confirm contract validity. They also requested a provisional injunction to prevent independent activities by the members until the final court decision. The court ruled in favor of ADOR both in the injunction case and the first trial.
During the legal proceedings, ADOR had been preparing for NewJeans’ comeback, submitting a list of new songs to the court with the members’ potential return in mind. Following their victory in the first trial last month, the agency stated, “We are ready and waiting for activities, including the release of a full-length album.”

Since July 2023, Team Bunnies has been an independent, one-person team that has supported NewJeans as part of the music production team in the design field. As direct resolution of certain matters was difficult, we have proceeded with the help of external Bunnies volunteers. We sincerely apologize for any shortcomings caused by operating as a one-person team and wish to clarify once again that there are no connections with any company executives, employees, or related personnel.
Following this decision, Team Bunnies will continue to fulfill its original role as part of the NewJeans music production team, just as before.
