Actress Lee Si Young updated fans with a new post showcasing gifts she received for her newborn, following the recent deletion of her Christmas-themed newborn photo shoot. Online reactions remained divided as her latest upload carried a very different tone from the earlier controversy.
On November 24, Lee Si Young posted on her social media, writing, “Wow… girls’ clothes are really this pretty,” alongside photos of baby clothing gifted to her. The image showed piles of infant outfits—from teddy-bear patterned bodysuits to Snoopy knits and winter jackets—suggesting a flood of presents that arrived right after her delivery. Tagging the friends who sent them, Lee expressed her gratitude and added a brief “Thank you” message as she arranged the many items.

Another photo featured custom luxury earphones from a fashion brand. With the caption “Oh, so cute,” she showed off a pair marked with the Miu Miu logo, drawing attention once again. Some fans reacted warmly, commenting, “Her fashion sense is still intact, even while raising a newborn,” and “You can tell she’s a trendy mom just from the gifts.”
Lee Si Young’s recent social media activity comes just a day after the so-called “ornament controversy.” She had shared a video of her 17-day-old daughter lying in a Christmas ornament box, which prompted criticism that she had posed the newborn “like a decoration.” Although some defended it as a common concept in newborn photography, the sudden deletion of the video within a day further fueled the debate.

Earlier this year, in March, Lee Si Young publicly announced her divorce and later revealed she became pregnant with her second child through frozen embryo transfer, receiving widespread support. Following the birth, she shared candid posts about the realities of new motherhood, often appearing sleep-deprived, while also teasing a new chapter by saying, “Our new home for the three of us is under construction.”
Her latest post, filled with baby gifts and thank-you notes, carried a relatively bright and cheerful mood. Still, reactions were mixed, with some users commenting, “Posting luxury brand items right after a controversy feels ill-timed,” while others said, “You can still feel her sincerity as a mom.”
Three weeks postpartum, Lee Si Young’s social media remains a focal point of public attention.
