Actress Lee Si Young deleted photos and videos of her 17-day-old daughter after facing controversy over a newborn “bone art” photoshoot.
On November 21, Lee Si Young shared a video on her social media with the caption, “How about this for this year’s Christmas ornament? Merry Christmas in advance.”
The clip showed her newborn daughter placed inside a Christmas ornament box as part of a styled “bone art” shoot, a photography trend that uses artistic setups featuring infants only days or weeks after birth. In the video, the baby was dressed in a Santa outfit while Lee Si Young recorded the scene, expressing affection and excitement over the shoot.
“It was so tiny and precious. I went in with a million worries, but I’m so glad we did it. I’m going to look at these every day,” she wrote.
However, debate quickly spread among netizens, with some criticizing the actress for comparing a newborn child to a decorative item and placing her inside a box for the concept. As criticism grew, Lee Si Young deleted the post.
Meanwhile, Lee Si Young finalized her divorce in March this year after eight years of marriage to her restaurateur husband. She is currently raising her first son on her own.
